Kauai Trip

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary early this year with a trip to Kauai. What a beautiful island...it was our fist visit to Kauai and we now have to go back! From the breathtaking views of Waimea Canyon to the warm water of Po'ipu Beach....what a great vacation! We loved our hotel in Lihu'e --(thanks is not enough Nana & Papa for letting us use your Marriott room!)--the grounds were beautiful and the pool was spectaular....we really enjoyed the 5 hot tubs... and the last night splurge on an amazing dinner on the beach all to ourselves (it brought back memories of our honeymoon)! We also loved the adventures ...the 2 mile kayak trip up Wailua River ...then hiking though rivers and lots and lots of mud to Wailua Falls...crazy but fun! Also, Waimea Canyon is a must see for everyone going to Kauai.... they say it is the Grand Canyon of the Pacific....and it was....we loved hiking through the canyon ..even with us getting a little lost...( and if you go...go to the Lodge and get the coconut chocolate macadamina nut pie for the trip down the mountain....yummmy--the perfect end to a day of hiking!!! We also enjoyed the beaches...Po'ipu being the best because of the weather....but our last day in the sun at Kalapaki Beach was just as relaxing! We loved exploring the garden island in our jeep...even the views from the car were amazing...oh and everywhere we turned we saw roosters or chickens all over the island..even in the canyon! The last day ended with drinks, live Hawaiian music, and the sunset over the ocean... what a perfect ending to an amazing trip! ...I could go on and on with more trip details but I will let you enjoy the pictures instead! I can't wait to plan for our 10 year!!! A super big thanks to GG & Papa G for watching Keaton -we missed him dearly but enjoyed the time together and lots of R & R-- Thanks is never enough---we love you!!! EASTER SATURDAY

We celebrated Easter a day early with the family...Keaton loved the yummy food, the egg hunt, all the doggies, playing on the piano, splashing in the water & seeing his fun family !

Sunday at the Lake!

It was a beautiful day on Sunday...we decided to take advantage of our lake passes and rent a boat for the afternoon! Keaton enjoyed the ride, but insisted on bringing his watering can....i guess he wanted to water the fish--he he!!!
