October Weekend Fun!

We had a great time last weekend with Keaton. First we were off to First Cuts in the Mission Viejo Mall to get Keaton's 1st Haircut. He came out with a crazy style--but no tears!! Then we ate lunch at Ruby's and Keaton enjoyed his new monkey in the tree balloon and especally his grilled cheese, pumpkin shake and fries! Then we were off to Strawberry Farms for a fun time at the pumpkin patch. He loved walking through the corn stalk maze, watching the tractor, and hitting all the pumpkins he could find. We walked away with some yummy homemade banana nut & pumpkin breads--yum! (and yes we did not get a pumpkin--that was later at Trader Joe's!!!) Keaton was tired...but after a nap we were off to his favorite park for some fun! On Sunday we went to Disneyland for the 3rd time in 2 months! We were lucky to get an early Christmas gift from Grandma & Grandpa from Alaska--Thank you! Keaton loved all the characters & the farm animals. He was a bit scared on on the inside dark rides (Winnie-the-Pooh & Peter Pan) next time we are sticking to the outside rides only! All in all we had a fun weekend out and about as a family!

We went to Irvine Park last Friday for a fun day at the Pumpkin Patch. Keaton loved running through the hay stack maze, riding on the train, seeing the ponies, and looking for the biggest pumpkin he could find!

Car trip up to Carmel/Montery for Kelley & Andy's Wedding!

On Friday Oct. 3 we drove up to Carmel Valley for my cousin Kelley's wedding. We had a packed car of people and luggage for 6hours. Aunt Kimi & Uncle Robb were great entertainment for Keaton--thank you!! We arrived at Quail Lodge Resort--what a beautiful location--and very nice accommodations! That night we all got ready for the rehearsal dinner in Carmel by the Sea--what a great restaurant--Keaton loved being a part of the night and his grilled cheese!!! On Saturday we woke up early and went back to Carmel by the Sea for Breakfast at Katy's Place and then down to the beach to feel the soft sand in our toes!! Then after a long nap we went to the Aquarium in Monterey with GG, Papa G & Aunt Kimi. Keaton loved touching the starfish and trying to eat the seaweed. He also enjoyed the jellyfish & loved standing in font of a huge aquarium and watching all the fish swim by--Thanks GG & Papa G for a great time!! Then we rushed back to Carmel Valley to get ready for the wedding. It was our first time leaving Keaton with a babysitter---so Aaron and I were a little nervous meeting the babysitter for the first time. Lucky she was great and we only called a few times during the wedding! The wedding was beautiful...The rain held off for the ceremony and Kelly and Andy never looked so happy!! ...then to the cocktail hour and reception. The food & atmosphere was great, but the best part was being with family! We extended out babysitter for an extra hour and enjoyed the rest of the night till 10:00! The next day we checked out, went to breakfast, then we were off on our car trip! On the way home we stopped for lunch to see Aunt Flora. It was great to see her and we will have to come back to visit soon to see her new house & Uncle Ed. We had a great time seeing our family...and we can't wait to see everyone again soon! --K

Poe Wedding in Napa

We had a wonderful trip up to Northern California for Michelle & Matt's wedding in Napa on September 20th. Julie & Pat hosted us at their beautiful new house in Pleasanton --thank you!!! Then we were all off to Napa for a great wedding! We all loved Beaulieu gardens, the welcome basket, the family style dinner, Pop Rocks the band, the photo booth, and all the little details in the design & paper elements--Michelle you outdid yourself!!! Can't wait to see all of you again soon--fight on!!!
